“Country matters more than party”

Comments

Joe Lieberman

So says the Lieberman. He spoke those words at tonight’s Republican convention. He then joined the Repubs in an all night Obama hatefest where they all but burned his effigy. What a putz. You’d think that someone crossing the partisan boundary would be a good thing, finally someone willing to make a trip across the land-mined demilitarized zone separating our two major parties. Except it is not. Does Lieberman actually think that any of those old white bobbing male heads out there in the crowd tonight would do the same as he? That they could or would, ever, jump ship? These same angry white men he lead on in cheer tonight were the pioneers and proud bearers of the “Sore Looserman” bumper sticker that festooned every Buick and Hummer from Texas to Pensacola during the 2000 presidential election legal dispute.

“Country matters more than party.” It’s like one of those meanginless soundbites they accuse Obama of making. What he really meant was that “Payback is a bitch.” Isn’t it, Mr. Looserman? Have fun with your new rabid friends, those mad conservatives, so full of anger and ridiculous self-righteous indignation. Only the partisan blood that runs in their veins was too thick to prevent them from complete destruction of credibility when they come to the defense of their precious Paladin Palin with comments about executive experienced gleaned leading the Alaskan National Guard, praising foreign policy expertise because Alaska is close to Russia. The hypocritical defense of her association with the anti-American Alaskan Independence Party while pointing out the supposed unpatriotic soul of Obama made for amusing reading. Yeah, I can’t see these political hacks putting Country before party, like you Mr Lieberman. They can’t see very far beyond the red fire of nationalistic anger and religious fury burning in their eyes.

You have sold out in the worst way to the worst people.
