I lost 30 lb in 6 months

I have been on a diet since late April. In over a little over 180 days I have lost 30 lb. My first week average was 279.7 lb and my highest weight was 282.0 lb. Last week’s average was 249.9 lb and my lowest weight was 247.8 lb.

It has become increasingly hard to maintain weight loss even at a pace of just 5 lb per month so I am now going to aim to maintain my weight for the rest of the year while continuing to exercise. My calorie intake at the beginning of the diet was 3000 calories per day and at the end came down to 2700 calories per day. Both were well above the body weight * 10 that many recommend. Given my activity level (exercising 3 times a week) I will set my maintenance level at 3500 calories per day and slowly reduce it to make sure I do not gain any weight. My goal is to weigh 248.8 lb on January 1, my weight on the first day of this new goal of maintenance. On January 1 I will resume weight loss. My goal is to have a flat line graph, neither gaining nor losing weight. I need a respite.
