Almost half way through the Devine Comedy, currently in Canto X of Purgatorio. It is taking me a long time to read it. It is a beautiful poem and the notes and translation with the copy I have are very helpful. Wish I could read the Italian version. I think if I were still a protestant believer I do not think I could enjoy this work, I would be too frustrated with differences from my own faith. Now that I have no faith I can see this wonder for what it is, well as much as I am capable of through my limited ability to make sense of allegory through a translation. I love epic poems.
